Scheduling Unpublished Page URLs in the True Anthem Dashboard

Understanding how to schedule unpublished page URLs in the True Anthem Dashboard is important for efficiently planning and executing specifically timed social media strategies. This feature is designed to provide you with the control and flexibility to manage your content in situations where timing is critical. It allows you to schedule content to go live on your social media channels at the same time it's published on your website, even if the content is not yet available to the public when scheduling it.

How it Works

Unpublished Page Scheduling in True Anthem offers the ability to queue social media posts linked to content that has not yet been made live on your website. This is particularly beneficial for content under embargo or scheduled for future release. When the page goes live, your social media post will automatically publish to your social channel(s) at the scheduled time, allowing your audience to engage with fresh content immediately.

Key Functionality

  • Cross-Network Customized Scheduling: Schedule customized link posts, photo posts, video posts, and Reels with unpublished page URLs across multiple social networks directly in the True Anthem Dashboard.
  • Compatibility: This feature works with Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, and Pinterest (and soon YouTube and TikTok).
  • Customization: Populate and customize all available text fields and image assets for link, photo, and video posts—along with Reels (and soon Shorts & TikToks) in advance—or let True Anthem fill in the details by scraping the page at the time of posting.
Please note that a Post Title value is required to schedule unpublished page URL link posts on Facebook and LinkedIn, and a Board is required for any post on Pinterest.

When to Use This Feature

  • Embargoed Content: For content that has a specific public release date and time, such as press releases or product announcements.
  • Event-Driven Content: When your content is tied to events or occasions that require synchronization with real-world timings, like award ceremonies or live events.
  • Holiday and Weekend Posts: Planning for content distribution during periods when staff may not be available to manually post content.
  • Strategic Campaign Launches: For timed marketing campaigns where social media posts are a critical component of the campaign's launch strategy.

How to Schedule Unpublished Page URLs—A Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Access the True Anthem Dashboard: Log in to your True Anthem Dashboard to begin the scheduling process.
  2. Navigate to Post Editor: Either use the blank 'New Post' or click in any slot within the Queue to access it in the Post Editor.
  3. Input Unpublished URL:
    • For link posts on Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), and LinkedIn, input your unpublished URL into the 'Post URL' bar. A warning will appear to indicate the URL isn't live—proceed by dismissing this warning.
    • For photo and video posts, including Reels on Facebook and Instagram, select the media type and upload or link your primary asset and input the unpublished Page URL along with your message text.
  4. Fill in Post Details:
    • For Facebook and LinkedIn link posts, only a URL and Title are necessary but filling out additional fields like description and image is recommended.
    • For link posts on X, only a URL is required.
    • For Instagram, add the unpublished URL to the 'Smartlink' field, then upload your primary visual asset and enter your message text.
  5. Scheduling and Saving: Select a date and time for the post to go live and save the post to your Schedule(s) and Queue(s).
  6. Monitoring Post Success: If the page is not yet live or True Anthem is unable to scrape the required metadata from the previously unpublished URL in a link post at the time of posting, the post will fail. Setting up post-failure notifications is recommended to stay informed. For photo and video posts, True Anthem will always make an attempt to distribute the post regardless of whether the page is live or not.

Additional Notes:

Advance Filling: Although not required, it is recommended to fill in as much information as possible in advance to ensure that your post contains all the necessary information at the time of publishing.

Post Failure Protocol: In the event of a failure, True Anthem will alert you if you have opted into post-failure notifications. This allows for quick remediation. To enroll your team in email post failure notifications, email us at support@trueanthem.com.
