Post Editing and Experimentation: Optimize Your Outcomes with Post Versions

Social performance is impacted by a variety of post packaging factors, and True Anthem's Post Versions feature enables you to track how copy tweaks and alternate visuals can maximize growth.

Why Use Post Versions?

• Test Different Packaging: Experiment with headlines, descriptions, and visuals (like thumbnails) to see what resonates best with your audience on each platform. Think eye-catching Pinterest graphics versus concise Twitter captions!
• Track Performance History: Analyze past post versions to identify top performers. Replicate winning strategies and learn from less successful attempts.

Editing Post Assets in True Anthem

The magic happens within the True Anthem Post Editor in the Queue Section of the Dashboard. Here's where you can customize social media posts for all major platforms (except for the recently renamed X (formerly Twitter) - Link Posts there have limitations!).

Customization Options:

• Post Message: Craft engaging text for each platform.
• Title & Description: Optimize for platform-specific character limitations and SEO best practices, especially for Pinterest which prioritizes searchability.
• Image/Video Thumbnail: Choose visuals that grab attention and align with your message.

Important Note for Facebook:

To display customized assets for Facebook Page Posts, ensure your domain is verified within Meta Business Manager and the associated Facebook Page is linked as a Connected Asset. 

Creating New Post Versions

Any edit you make in the Post Editor (message, title, description, image, etc.) and save, becomes a new Post Version. True Anthem even differentiates between versions for Link Posts and Photo Posts associated with the same web page.

Important to Note: Each Post Version is specific to the social network for which you're editing. Edits and customizations made for one platform will not carry over to other social networks, even if you schedule a post to multiple platforms at once. In this case, you'll need to select and edit within each social network tab in the Post Editor. This ensures you can tailor your content for the unique audiences and formats of each social media channel.

There's no limit to the number of versions you can create! The newest version becomes the default when selecting the webpage for distribution.

Pro Tip: Manually select a past Post Version as the new default if you find a winning formula!

Creating New Versions is Easy:

Simply edit any element within the Post Editor and save the changes. This could be anything from the post message to the visuals.

Editing Past Posts:

If you edit a past Social Post in the Content Discovery section before saving and scheduling, a new Post Version is automatically created. You also have the ability to name your Post Versions so you can easily reference a specific version of the post for future use.
