From Publish to Queue: The Magic Behind How True Anthem Handles New Content

Ever wondered how True Anthem keeps your social media queue stocked with fresh content within moments of hitting publish? Look no further! This article dives deep into how True Anthem seamlessly handles your newly published website content, making it readily available for distribution across your social channels.

There are two main methods True Anthem uses to identify your new content:

The True Anthem JavaScript Analytics Tag

This tag, deployed across your website, acts as your content's direct line to True Anthem. Upon publishing a new page, the tag triggers a signal to our system. Here's the magic:

Pageview Beacon: This beacon sends a signal to True Anthem's Web Page Fetcher.

Web Page Fetcher: This fetcher scrapes the new page's metadata, creating a record in our database.

Content Discovery: Within seconds after scraping, a post mock-up appears in the Content Discovery panel of your True Anthem Dashboard, ready for your review.

XML-based Syndication Feeds

If you prefer using RSS v2.0, Atom (RFC 4287), or JSON Feed v1.1, True Anthem can leverage them as well:

  • Regular Polling: True Anthem checks these feeds at set intervals for new or updated content.
  • RSS v2.0 & Atom: These feeds can:
    • Index New Content: New content gets added as records in our database (polling happens every minute).
    • Direct Posting: Content bypasses the Queue and gets posted directly to your social media channels (based on AI-Driven Post Job schedules).
    • Content Rule Integration: These feeds can be used with Content Rules to ensure content published through a specific feed gets considered for posting via AI-Driven Post Jobs.
  • JSON v1.1: This feed format offers additional functionalities:
    • Content Updates: It can update existing content records in our database, along with identifying new content.
    • Polling Frequency: Polling for new and updated content can be configured between every 5 to 60 minutes.
    • Scrape Limiting: JSON feeds allow limiting page scraping to only once per new or updated content identified in the feed.

Content Selection: A Symphony of Rules and Relevance

But wait, there's more! True Anthem then analyzes the new content against your configured Selection Criteria and Content Rules. If it's a match, it gets slotted into your Queue for distribution, considering several factors:

  • Social Relevance Score (SRS): Our Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) expertise come together to evaluate and generate a social relevance score for every piece of content published to your website. The higher the score, the more likely it is to resonate with your audience.
  • Content Freshness and Popularity: Newly published content with initial page views gets a boost in the Queue, ensuring timely social media exposure.
  • Content Type and AI-Driven Post Job Alignments: Does your new content align with your predefined Content Types and their corresponding AI-powered Post Job configurations? A perfect match ensures a smooth journey to the Queue.
  • Prioritization Power: Configured Content Type Priorities allow you to fine-tune the order in which your content appears in the Queue.

With these powerful features, True Anthem ensures your fresh content gets the social media spotlight it deserves, saving you valuable time and effort. Remember, you can always customize these settings within your True Anthem Dashboard to perfectly match your content distribution strategy!
