Great social content requires great visuals, but switching between tabs and design tools can slow your workflow to a crawl. Meet Photo Editor—our built-in creative suite designed specifically for busy social teams. Now, you can create high-impact social assets directly within our platform. The True Anthem Photo Editor allows you to streamline your workflow while ensuring every article you post looks its absolute best in the feed.
1. Getting Started
There are two ways to launch the Photo Editor from your dashboard:
- Via the Post Editor: Open a post, click the Photo icon, and select "Open Photo Editor."
- Via Image Selection: Click on any image in Content Discovery, the Media Library, or your Queue. The editor button will appear once the image loads in the post editor.
2. Workspace Overview
The editor is divided into three functional panels:
- Photo Discovery: Automatically pulls images associated with your URL, including website scrapes and previously saved dashboard images.
- Templates: The hub for your reusable brand designs.
- Canvas/Editing Area: The central space where you manipulate layers, colors, and layouts.
3. Setting Up Your Brand Kit
To ensure brand consistency, you must first configure your assets:
- Logos: Upload high-resolution brand logos for quick access.
- Colors: Save brand-specific hex codes or use the color picker tool.
- Custom Fonts: Search for standard system fonts.
- Pro Tip: Upload your own font files (OTF/TTF) via the "Add Font" button to match your corporate identity perfectly.
4. Designing Your First Template
Templates save time by automating the design process for recurring post types.
Step A: Layout & Background
- Select your Aspect Ratio (e.g., 4:5 Portrait for Instagram, Square for Facebook, or Widescreen).
- Set a background color if you aren't using a full-bleed photo.
Step B: Dynamic Text Mapping
This is a "smart" feature that saves manual typing:
- Add a text box and select "Dynamic Text Mapping."
- Choose "Title" or "Description." The editor will automatically pull the headline from the article URL and place it on the image.
Step C: Overlays & Graphics
- Logos: Drag and drop from your Brand Kit.
- Shapes: Add rectangles or lines to create "lower-thirds" or text backgrounds.
- Layering: Use the "Bring to Front" or "Send to Back" tools to organize overlapping elements.
5. Saving and Reusing Work
- Save as "New Template": Use this the first time you create a design you want to repeat. It will now appear in your Templates panel.
- Save Template: Use this to overwrite an existing template with new tweaks.
- Apply: This pushes the final design back into the Post Editor, ready for scheduling.
6. Advanced Use Cases
- Video Thumbnails: You can use the Photo Editor to design custom thumbnails for video posts.
- Multi-Network Syncing: When posting to multiple platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, Threads), use the "Use same image for all selected networks" toggle to apply your design across all channels instantly.
- Channel-Specific Tweaks: You can adjust an image for one specific network (like cropping for Threads) without affecting the others.
Note: As this feature is currently in Beta, your feedback is essential for future updates.
