How Content Tagging Works in True Anthem
True Anthem’s Dashboard simplifies content categorization with two main types of tags: Smart Tags and Team Tags. While Smart Tags are pivotal in automating content selection in Post Job and Content Type rules, Team Tags aid in internal content segmentation and performance analysis. Both types of tags are manually applied to web pages or social posts in the Content Discovery panel, either individually or in bulk, which we'll cover below.
Strategic Use of Tags
Smart Tags: Essential in categorizing evergreen content, identifying seasonal or holiday-related content, and prioritizing breaking news or timely content within AI-driven Post Jobs.
Team Tags: Useful for organizing content in the Content Discovery panel for manual posting and analyzing performance in the Dashboard's Reporting Section.
Adding Tags in the Dashboard
New Team Tags can be easily added by any user following the steps below:
- Click a content tile in Content Discovery or paste a URL in the Post Editor
- Click the Tags icon, enter the new Team Tag in the text field
New Smart Tags can only be added to the Dashboard and Content Rules configurations by our Support Team. Contact us by filing a request ticket using the Support link in the lower-left corner of the Dashboard or by emailing support@trueanthem.com.
Applying Tags to Content
Individual Application: Follow the steps below to apply tags to individual pages or posts through the Content Discovery panel or Post Editor.
- Hover over a content tile in Content Discovery, click 'Add Tags', and select the appropriate tags
- Alternatively, after loading content in the Post Editor, add tags by clicking the Tag icon
Bulk Application: Tags can be applied to multiple pages or posts using multi-select functionality in Content Discovery or via CSV upload.
Apply tags using multi-select functionality using the steps below:
- Construct your search using the content and time-based options along the top of the panel
- Either hover over an individual search result and click "Add Tags" or the down caret symbol next to “Manage Results” in the upper-left corner of the Search Results
- Click the “Go to All Tags” button
- Depending on which step you take in 2. above, you can select or deselect specific search results by holding down the Control (Command on Mac) + clicking the tile
- Then select the tags to apply and click the "Done" button
Apply tags using bulk tagging via CSV Upload using the steps below:
- Conduct a Content Discovery search using the content and time-based options along the top of the panel
- Hover over a tile, click "Add Tags" or the down caret symbol next to “Manage Results” and then click "Go to All Tags"
- Click the link to "Import List of Web Pages to Apply Tags"
- In the pop-up that appears, click the link reading "Import List of Web Pages" and select the .csv file to import.
- In the CSV file, populate column A with your list of page URLs (if there are blank rows in between page URLs, don't worry, True Anthem will continue to process the complete list of URLs in column A)
- Please note that the number of rows in your CSV may not match the number of pages found in the confirmation message if the list of URLs contain syntax errors or the page is not yet present in the True Anthem database
- In the CSV file, populate column A with your list of page URLs (if there are blank rows in between page URLs, don't worry, True Anthem will continue to process the complete list of URLs in column A)
- Select the relevant tags and then click the “Apply” button
- Please note that multiple tags can be added to your list of URLs in a single import. However, if you'd to apply different tags to different sets of URLs, we recommend breaking them out into separate CSV imports
Leveraging Smart Tags and Team Tags can effectively enhance your content management on True Anthem. This guide aims to streamline your tagging process, ensuring your content efficiently reaches your intended audience on social media, but please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team with any questions.
