Dynamic Text Mapping is a core feature within the Photo Editor that instructs the system on which metadata field from your Content Management System (CMS) such as an article's Title, Description, or Category to automatically populate into a template's graphic overlays.
Just as Content Rules direct the platform on which articles to distribute, Dynamic Text Mapping informs the canvas on which metadata fields to insert into graphic templates, eliminating manual copy-pasting during production.
The system pulls field metadata exactly as it appears in your CMS (or custom fields configured for your account).
To enable dynamic text mapping for your template do the following:

Open the Photo Editor and click on Overlay.

Click on the Add Text icon in the bottom left corner of the Overlay tab (or select an existing text box on your canvas).

From there, click on the lightning bolt icon on top of the sample text that says Dynamic Text. This will then give you all of the text mapping options True Anthem offers for your campaign. For example, selecting Title will pull the exact title the content has mapped in your CMS.

Finally, once you’ve done all of your other edits to your template, click on the downward arrow next to the green Apply in the lower right corner and select “Save Template” (if updating an existing template) or “Save as New Template” if creating a brand-new template.
- Name your template and click Save.
